Community Fundraising

Lions Clubs in our District have many local fundraising activities and events. There is always something new being tried. The best way to tell what they are up to would be to look at their Facebook and web pages. They are listed here.

Stamps

The Lions International Stamp Club (LISC) was formed at the International Convention in Atlantic City in 1951 by dedicated Lions with a common bond of Lionism and Philately.

Lions International Stamp Club (LISC) Australia commenced in 2006 and accepts all used stamps (irrespective of value) for our major projects in Australia.

ALL proceeds are donated to the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation (ALCMF) to assist with the purchase of walking aids for disabled children.

The stamps are processed by LISC members and then sold at auction in Sydney.

The Australian Chapter of Lions International Stamp Club is the collection hub for used postage stamps. They sort and sell the stamps on behalf of the Australian Lions Children’s Mobility Foundation. All funds raised are given to the Foundation and this money assists with the purchase of walking devices.

If you would like to help in this fundraising exercise, all you need to do is trim around the stamps leaving approximately 2mm. Do not soak the stamps off the paper, then send your stamps to:
